Powder Brows are beautiful and can make you look like you just woke up and did your makeup, without the effort of “doing” your makeup!
A Powder Brow is done with a tattoo machine, NOT a blade. A blade is used in sometimes used in the “Microblading” techinque to create the look of hairs in a brow. With a powder brow, we are trying to mimic the look of POWDER on your brow. A powder brow heals very soft and powder-like.
The “Powder Brow” technique is also referred to as “shading”. Shading is mostly done along with microblading to create a powder-like effect between the hairstrokes and in the background of a microbladed eyebrow. Shading also helps give longevity to a microbladed brow.
I hope this helps to alleviate some of the confusion between Microblading and the Powder Brow. At a new client’s appointment, I will show samples of each brow type to be sure to educate you before any work is started.
